How the contract is formed
Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we email you to confirm the order has been dispatched — at that point a contract exists between us. If we cannot accept your order, for example because an item is out of stock or there has been a pricing error, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.
Prices and payment
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling.
- Delivery is charged separately unless your order qualifies for free UK delivery, which applies over £100. The delivery cost is shown at checkout before you pay.
- Payment is taken at the time you order.
- We take payment through a third-party payment provider. Your card details are given directly to them and are never held by us.
We try to keep prices accurate, but if we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered, we will contact you before dispatching to ask whether you wish to continue.
Delivery
We aim to dispatch within two working days and send orders by UPS. Full details, including overseas orders, are on our delivery page.
Goods become your responsibility once they are delivered to the address you gave us. Any delivery date we give is an estimate rather than a guarantee.
Cancellation and returns
Consumers have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving an order, and separate rights if goods arrive faulty. Both are set out in full on ourreturns and cancellations page, which forms part of these terms.
Using the products
Our cake supports are designed to help hold tiered cakes together in transit. They do not replace normal dowelling — tiers still need to be dowelled to carry their own weight. It is your responsibility to assemble a cake safely and to satisfy yourself that a support is suitable for the cake you are making.
Products described as food safe are safe for contact with food when used as intended. Cut the pipe with care and keep offcuts away from the cake.
Our liability
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — including your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable at the time the contract was made. If you are buying for a business, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or loss of contracts.
Complaints
If something has gone wrong, email sturdystackers@gmail.com and we will do our best to put it right.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
Changes
We may update these terms. The terms that apply to your order are the ones published when you placed it.
